ABOUT MAX
My
Passion for Portraits:
I
am committed to the common goal of capturing with my
camera that special unique quality, that special authentic
identity each of us possesses. I enjoy the entire
process of working with people.
Photography
began for me at the tender age of eight when my dad gave
me a Kodak Brownie Box Camera. The whole vision
of catching people with pictures by using this bulky
black box was simply magic, and it still is. That
magic Brownie has now been replaced by my state of the
art high tech digital SLR.
I
believe in collaborating with my clients rather than
dictating what will happen during a shoot. An advantage
I offer is that digital photography allows for instant
review of results as we work together.
I
only have one absolute rule during a photo portrait session: let’s
have fun! If for some reason we’re not having
a good time during the shoot, we stop, readjust (not
so hard to do as one might think) and then continue in
a way that is enjoyable. That doesn’t mean
that I require a forced smile, but it does mean that
all involved are comfortable working together. When this
is the case, the portraits magically reflect the authentic
self.
